I have owned this cymbal for about 4 years and have actually used it for jazz, blues, pop and some rock. It is medium to medium-heavy weight - 4lbs 3.8 ounces, which is: 1922.1 grams. It has sort-of-a rude/complex quality to it, especially if you are playing (right on top of it), nevertheless when the sound takes a trip to the audience it sounds more smooth. I would describe the cymbal as "dry" like the name suggests, however not too dark. Terrific stick definition, and the superficial but adequate bell sounds good without being too "bell-ish."
