If you are a severe artist or just a collector of great musical instruments this 1932 round neck resonator dobro might be just exactly what you are trying to find. Integrateded 1932 in Los Angeles, California by John Dopyera, this is a very unusual (Gold Label) resonator Dobro. Really wanting to enhance a guitars sound without using electricity, Dopyera and a partner came up with the resonator cone to achieve this! The round neck design enables this dobro to be played either like a guitar or on lap with a slide. It still has a remarkable complete noise even with the older strings that are on it now.The body and neck are mahogany while the top is spruce. The fretboard is an African hardwood called Blackwood which is really thick and difficult, inlaid with mother of pearl, while all the frets are in terrific shape. When adjusted, the tuners are strong and hold. Everything on this dobro is original not having actually any fixed or replaced parts. There is some small scratching on the body from use however there are no splits or fractures anywhere. It has the initial fiber case and features a cool 1930's capo.
