1980's Seymour Duncan *Duncan Custom* Pickup Rare Double Cream 13.97K VH

Location:
Greenwood, IN
Description:

This listing is for a early to mid 1980's Seymour Duncan "Duncan Custom" model pickup (Today's version is the SH-5) in rare Double Cream color. All original aside from new 4 conductor lead and mounting hardware. Reads 13.97K on my cheap meter.Very crisp stamping of "Seymour Duncan Pickups" appears to be an early batch with the stamp. They lack that definition by 1984. Wound by Martha Cameron. The origins of this pickup is Seymour created "Van Halen" model pickup in early 1979. Eddie did not sanction this model, and told Seymour to cease and desist. In the Fall of 1970 Seymour rebranded the EVH model the "Duncan Custom". By 1980 he dropped all associations with EVH. Decades later, he came out with a EVH custom shop model with EVH's blessing. Ask any questions you may have before you bid. Old ad is not included, just there for reference. Sold as is.
