The Cary Safe business beened around from 1878-1929 so the safe is from that period. All the lock and mechanical parts have recently been serviced and are in excellent operating condition. The patina on this piece is wonderful and really reveals it's character. The lettering checks out "W.G. Hamby" on the top and "San Fransico Gal." on the bottom. I attempted doing some study on this person, but developed nothing. Maybe you can have much better luck! This would be a great decorative piece and a high quality working safe. It determines 26 inches tall, 16 inches broad, and 191/2 inches deep. $700 OBO. Please call 5O9554466O with any questions, thanks.
