My Qualifications- 28 years as a Mechanical Engineer and 13 years owned my own automotive repair business. Have tackled projects involving lowering top bar,welding,converting any style bike to hybrid, fixed gear/Track type, or single speed, just to mention a few. My motto when I had my own MOBILE auto repair business was, if it ain't broke, I WONT fix it. Will make house calls if your broke down, estimate on how far from me. Not sure when buying a used bike. Quick tests, shake the wheels in a perpendicular direction to travel, do likewise to the crank arms that hold the pedals. If they show play(movement), the bearings need to be tighten. These are the most common problems when a bike hasn't been tuned in a long time. Call me if you need help. Need park tools(new not used call for price), helmets, parts, I stock new and used tires, wheels,tubes, brakes, seats(loads starting at $5 used, $10 new, banana seats solid and flowers),training wheels used $10, new $15&$20, locks and chains $25, metal hand pumps with mounting bracket to the frame $10, fenders and almost all components for most bikes. Need to convert your bike to fixed gear($35+ parts removed) or single speed, no problem.
