Strings have to be tightened up. this is the very same type toy that Charles Lindbergh took with him on his historical flight across the Atlantic Ocean. "Conceived by New Jersey cartoonist Otto Messmer, Felix the Cat initially appeared in 1919 in an animated cartoon called Feline Follies. The Felix cartoon character ended up being syndicated in even more than 250 newspapers. The toy was produced in various sizes, and this example is one of the biggest.
