Vintage Philips 212 Electronic Turntable - New power switch, workingI inherited this turntable from an old friend, and it plays and sounds fine.Comes with an Ortofon FF15XE MkII cartridge. I replaced the on/off switch (button) that you see on the front-left of the unit. The old one was defective, i.e., no longer stayed depressed when you pushed it in. Apparently, this was a common point of failure on this turntable. I replaced it with one that is commonly available on ebay. So... the switch works fine, and the silver button looks nearly identical to the old button. I will include the old button cover. Note that the rear-left of the cover had been broken, but I epoxied it back together. It now seems pretty strong, though I suppose one could do further reinforcements on it. There is a second crack on the back-right, as you can see in the pictures. That crack is much smaller, and didn't crack or break the cover itself. The hinges are in great shape, and work smoothly. There is a small ding on the back-left surface of the turntable, as you can see in the pictures. That happened only a few weeks ago when I took possession of the turntable and accidentally dropped the cover on it while taking the cover off. Despite these several issues, the unit looks pretty good in person. It's not mint... but it's not beat up either. And the turntable sounds perfectly fine.
