Up For Your Consideration Is A Very Nice Yamaha Double French Horn!!!! It is a little rare to see an 864 listed in the United States market, as this horn was more prevalent in the European market. From my limited understanding of the production of the 864, this horn was designed to play like an Alexander 103. I would love for someone with more knowledge on the 864 to share some knowledge! Please feel free to make some comments! I did get some information directly from Japan in which are illustrated on the last 3 pictures of this item description.This horn was given an ultrasonic cleaning in October of 2023. The horn was given an inspection and all the braces are secure, all the tuning slides move freely, and the valves are fast and responsive with good compression. The horn has a very nice finish! The bell and lead pipe look great! There does not seem to be any signs of major dent repair in the past. The only repairs that we had to do on the horn was to take out a small dent. The previous owner had some definite pride of ownership with this horn. Please check out the pictures for further clarification of condition. Not only does the horn look good, but also plays very nicely. THIS HORN IS A PLAYER! This horn produces a "bright and powerful sound that reaches beyond the blue sky" This is a very nice custom hand made Double French Horn that produces a beautiful sound.
