Click images to enlarge Description Up for Consideration is a Amazing & Rare Original Miniature 18th Century Gouache Painting of a Colonial Gentleman in Wig.18th/Early 19th CenturyOffered to you is this Amazing 18th or very early 19th Century Oval Painting on Ivory of a Nobleman or Colonial Gentleman!The Oval painting measures 1.90 inches by 1.30 inches. It has been re-framed over the years and would had been originally been sealed in a large locket. The rectangle frame measures 3.5 inches by 4.0 inches. The back has been sealed with Framing Paper and I have decided to leave it alone as I have seen enough of these to know what the reverse looks like!Former owner said it came out of a Period Bedford , Massachusetts Estate. I do not have any further information on Subject in the painting.
