The top of each poster has wooden carvings that flair out with the metal bands that connect up high above the middle of the bed. The bed, dresser and mirror, the chest of drawers and the night stand are all huge and have beautiful carvings. This is NOT a cheap set. I am sacrificing for 2000 as I desperately need the money.
