I believe this is an original specimen of the roll released by Connorized in 1916, of the Maple Leaf Rag played by the composer, Scott Joplin. I was browsing through Youtube recently and found a video of the exact-same-roll. You can search for listing jIjpB49bacM and get a good idea of the condition. Which is, obviously, pretty beat up. The leader has been replaced and the New tab needs some tape reinforcement before it breaks off. There are numerous tape repairs, especially towards the end where the roll was tearing down the middle..and as you can see, edge wear and a few small or modest chunks out of the edge. Despite that, it plays well aside from the first measure where there was some alignment trouble, at least on My piano: I played it once to make sure there are no new defects since the video was made years ago. There might be a few more pieces of tape, but looks to be basically the same. Good for scanning, or playing on special occasions. There is NO box; I will include a nondescript replacement from another roll. If you have any questions, I check messages at ends of day. Thanks for looking.
