Up for sale is a quite rare, vintage Sherwood S-8800A solid state stereo receiver, Made in USA, 35 wpc, $400 new, circa 1967. This is the improved version of the classic S-8800. This particular unit sounds very good for its age with no static in the controls and pots. The wood case is in very good condition too. I've owned the earlier S-8800 and they both have that warm, tube-like sound. Very tight bass and just the right highs for easy listening. They can also rock the house with the right speakers. This is a definite keeper, and I have 2 that's why I am selling one. See and hear them in the Willow Glen area of San Jose. Local cash pick-up only please. No exceptions. Thanks for looking.
