For sale is this antique "4 sounded" ladderback side chair with woven fiber rush seat. It is a "rocking chair" with 2 springs attached to the front 2 legs. The springs are steel and have embossed into the bottom "Blakes Patent Apr. 28, 1868." This was in my family for more than three generations and is thought to date back to the late 1800s or very early 1900s. This is an actually special piece. It is in overall good shape but does have a crack at the top of among the legs. The fracture does not impact function and does not go further down the leg.
