The Cary Safe business beened around from 1878-1929 so the safe is from that age. All the mechanical and lock components have just recently been serviced and are in wonderful operating condition. The patina on this piece is terrific and actually shows it's character. The lettering reads "W.G. Hamby" on the top and "San Fransico Gal." on the bottom. I attempted doing some research on this person, but came up with nothing. Possibly you can have nicer luck! This would be a great decorative piece and a high quality operating safe. It measures 26 inches tall, 16 inches large, and 191/2 inches deep. $700 OBO. Please call 5O9554466O with any questions, thanks.
