This is a vintage Aria A554 Classical Guitar. Beautifully figured rosewood back and sides. Made in Japan. I believe the top is cedar due to the stain color. I do not know for sure. The action is a reasonable 4 mm at the 12th fret. From the label style this is probably a 1970s instrument and it has clearly seen some vigorous playing and has the mojo marks to prove it. Be sure and look at all the pictures to see the scratches around the sound hole. The larger scratches appear to have been filled with clear finish to seal the wood, which also made the scratches darker. They are deep, but do not go all the way through the top.Other scratches have not been filled. Be sure you are comfortable with the scratches. I think it speaks to the mojo of the instrument, others might call it damage. Sold as-is, no returns.The guitar comes with a good fitting case. All the latches working well. The case has a few dings and a couple of paint spots that you can see in the photos. The auction does not include the guitar stand used in the photosNew D'Addario Classic Nylon Strings have been installed.Japanese guitars from this era are known for good build quality and excellent tone. The highly figured rosewood speaks to the quality of the instrument. True auction. No reserve. I will let the market determine the price. The rosewood alone is worth the starting bid to a guitar builder.Shipping to the lower 48 states of USA only. Guitar will be well packed with the strings loosened. The case provides extra protection.
