For sale is a near mint VPI Classic 2 belt-driven turntable. Fully operational and extremely well packaged in 4 boxes so that it will arrive safely. I have been using this in my main set up for about 2 years now and it has performed flawlessly. I am only selling because I found a Merrill Heirloom table and I don't have the need for it. Comes without a cartridge.Belt drives are well regarded for their dampening effects. Whisper quiet when operational. When assembled this weighs close to 50 pounds, its definitely a quality piece.Here's what is included:-VPI Classic 2 turntable-Classic III JMW Memorial uni-pivot tonearm-Upgraded aluminum platter (this weighs over 25 lbs all on its own)-Felt platter mat-Record clamp-Aluminum periphery ring-Cartridge alignment jig (not shown)-Belt-Power supply-Clear dust cover (mint condition - as shown in the second photo)-Smoke dust cover (good condition, but has a crack in the rear corner). This was included when I bought it but I never used it.No noticeable blemishes on the plinth / turntable. The tonearm wand is mint and the platter is in excellent condition. You will want to rub it down with a soft cloth after handling and before you loop the belt to keep it nice and shiny.The turntable and tonearm are packaged in their original shipping box from VPI. The other items are packaged very securely in 3 other boxes and marked as such.Shipping will be $200. I'll cover anything over that and will refund any difference if there is any.Shipping via FedEx Ground with full insurance included in the cost.
