King Fedelio 2269 Double French Horn – in Very Good Condition - Ready for New OwnerThis is a “Kruspe Wrap” King 2269 Double French Horn – that has been serviced by seller. Serial number (38 227164).Accessories: Comes with a hardshell case and a brand-new French horn mouthpiece.Condition: This instrument is in Good condition cosmetically but in Excellent Condition Playability-wise: There are small dents, and dings on some of the slides and some of the tubing. There are scratches and lacquer wear all over this instrument as well. However, this is superficial. There is a slight tubing crimp looping out from the leadpipe, but this does not affect its playability. There is also one line crimp on the bell that I could not get to smooth out completely. This horn has been serviced and repaired.Serviced: This horn has been overhauled, chem cleaned, slides and valves removed ultrasonically cleaned, and then brushed. Slides were buffed and valves were brushed back to original brass (soft brass brush and water – so as to not damage the valves themselves.) Everything was then reoiled, greased, and reassembled. (See pictures of the actual process.) New strings were installed and paddles were adjusted. The inner workings are almost as good as new. Repairs: Major dents on the bell tubing were removed (there is one line mark on this tubing that was left alone after using the bar-ball so as not to damage the bell-tube. Also, dents on the bell were rolled out – there is that one line on the edge still a bit visible – it does not affect the sound of the horn. A casing sleeve was beautifully soldered on the leadpipe next to tubing. All of the braces are secure, all of the slides and valves move freely; the bell and the leadpipe are in good condition. The horn looks good and sounds even better. The inner workings of the horn are excellent as the horn has been serviced. Playability: It has been checked for playability: It plays beautifully. It has good compression: slides pop and they are not too loose and not too tight; all of the valves function wonderfully.Manufacture Description: This horn is very similar to a King Eroica but is a little smaller with a medium bell. The sound is beautiful and projects well. The valve action is excellent.
