Classic "Ladies' frame"10-speed. Made in Japan. I had a Schwinn Le Tour in the past, and, when my little girl thought she really wanted to start riding, I pursued my memories of a terrific bike. The previous owner certainly looked after the bike. Alas, biking was a fleeting desire. After a couple of brief rides, the bike has actually collected dust in the garage. There are some typical scuffs and wear (the images reveal the worst: a seat tear and the rub on the leading tube paint.). Both the Schwinn plate stamp (0831) and the identification number (1E07950) suggest 1981 as the production year. All elements seem to be initial (Manufacturer names match versus that year's catalog specs). Riverdale Bicycles (near College Park, MD ??) was the supplier. A vintage benefit: An IKU (Made in Holland) speedometer/odometer is mounted on the handlebars. It shows 253.7 miles. When I purchased it.), (I believe it check out about 240 I question that it had the original purchase.$225.00.
