This is MY banjo, not a shop reselling it, so I can tell you that it plays great. I have moved away from jugband-type music into acoustic swing jazz and now solely concentrate on my vintage Gibson archtop. Thus, I am reluctantly offering this banjo to someone who will make better — and more — use of it.From my research, Lyon & Healy attached Washburn label to their top-tier instruments, though they didn’t mass produce banjos as did their competitors, Vega and Paramount. This “style A” means it is a shorter neck tenor banjo, scale length is 21” and the width of nut is 1 3/16”.Other features—> tiger-striped laminated maple neck—> grained ivoroid-bound ebony fingerboard —> pearl inlay and headstock inlaid with a pearl floral pattern—> Washburn style tone ring, with hooks fitted into holes in hoop instead of the top edge—> overall length is 31 1/8” 10 3/4” diameter head, and 3 1/2” in depth, measured at side of rim.Original tuners replaced professionally by Gryphon Guitars in Palo Alto, who also replaced head and set it up.Considering its age, I would say it is in excellent condition — there’s a minor scratch on the back of the neck that can probably be buffed out,the neck and fretboard look good and play well. The interior rod is clearly marked “Washburn” and “Style A” and “No 2925”I can provide more photos or info if needed. I have what may be the original chipboard case. Beautiful leather strap included
