Beautiful early piece by Ferryman of a Mediterranean port. Fantastic use of very few colors in this abstract seaside watercolor. If there are any questions please feel free to ask.The artwork had fallen out of place within the frame. I have since reattached the artwork to the mat (using acid free drafting tape), cleaned the glass and put back. When the artwork was out from behind the glass I was able to take several photos. While the paper shows discoloration, the paints have retained their original colors and are very strong and vibrant as you can see from the photos. The frame is a rough surfaced/unfinished wood and matches the style of art perfectly.I believe this is a watercolor signed by the artist, Francis Revesz Ferryman, lower right. I also have an original oil on canvas by the same artist currently up for auction signed Ferryman 1950.
