This describes the length of the seat tube, from the base to the top. The base is the round area at the bottom holding the axle (understood as the bottom bracket) and the top is where the seat post enters into the seat tube. Top Tube (TT) about 24 inches. This is the length of the top tube, which is the primary connecting tube in between the seat tube and head tube (at the front of the bike). It is determined from the centers of the converging tubes. Wheel Diameter (D) about 27 inches. This is calculated based upon the size of the wheel or, even more merely, the tire size. Bikes determined by doing this have frames created relative to the size of tire, so the larger the tire, the bigger the frame.
