For more information about our business, please feel free to visit our Ebay Profile at http://www.ebay.com/usr/silver_brass_music This is an Olds Recording tenor trombone with F-attachment (serial number 331445). This instrument plays very well. This horn has a 8 1/2" "Rey-O-Loy" bell and a dual bore of .495"/.510". As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, there are a few small dings as well as some pitting, light scratching, and etching on the bell section. There is also some pitting, etching, and light scratching on the outside of the slide. The bell engraving reads: “OLDS/ RECORDING/ MADE BY/ F.E. OLDS & SON/ FULLERTON/ CALIF."The slide action overall is decent, but it is hesitant in 1st position and around 6th-7th positions. There are some small imperfections in the tubes and if you are particular about your slide you will want to have these addressed. The stockings show a small amount of wear. This horn is not lacquered; therefore, fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wishes for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now; if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This trombone comes with a mouthpiece for play-testing purposes and a gig bag for transportation.All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N.
