Custom Penn Jigmaster 501 with extensive upgrades including Newell reel stand and rod clamp. This reel has been cleaned and lubed and is equipped with the Pro Challenger Stainless Steel Gear Sleeve and Upgraded Carbon Fibre Drag washers from Smoooth Drag. The Custom aluminum spacer bars are from Cortez Conversions. The main gear /pinion and all the guts are steel. Even the pinion yoke is stainless steel. Excellent reel for the pier, jetty, beach or boat. Comes fitted with a Penn aluminum spool and a very sturdy Penn 24-66 Power Handle. The free-spool is smooth and runs very freely. Excellent example of the versatile Jigmaster 501 Narrow Spool reel with over $125 worth of brand new upgrades installed. Also, the combination of the upgraded Smoooth Drag system and ProChallenger stainless steel gear sleeve (along with the custom spacer bars and Newell base) provide a platform capable of successfully landing some of the fastest & hardest fighting fish.
