Hi folks,I am reaching out and begging for some help! My father and I are in desperate need of old concrete, we own a trailor that sits on the river in Newcastle NE. As everyone is aware due to high river levels all year we are losing alot of property and at risk of losing our trailer that both him and I own,it is something we have always wanted, searched for and dreamed we could enjoy it together for many years to come. We purchased the trailer in 2011... of course that is the year the river flooded.we battled the storm and thankfully we were able to save our trailor with minimal damage.we spent the next 2 years rebuilding and hoping we could enjoy it for years to come! Well as we all know since than we have had to deal with high water levels and once again continue to fight and battle to keep our little piece of heaven to enjoy with our family and friends. Now this year has really taken its toll,when we first purchased the trailor our property was roughly 150ft from our trailor to the river bank,after numerous years of high water taking its toll we lost alot of our yard/river bank and now have roughly 60 feet between the river and our trailer. We have contacted the Corp of engineers and they gave us a permit with a list of materials we are allowed to dump into the river against our bank in Hope's of stopping the river from continuing to take out the property in Hope's we dont lose everything we have worked so hard to build,save and enjoy. We are in desperate need of large concrete that by our permit allows us to insert into the river the only stipulation is it cannot have rebar in the concrete. I am reaching out to anybody in the Newcastle or ponca area that might have some concrete Or know somebody who has concrete that they would be willing to part with...please if you might be able to help us or know someone who might be able to help us out please be kind enough to pass the information our way!
