The signature may read 'Book", "Bork", "Boone", "Booth", or something similar. Framed: Yes. The 2" wide and 1" deep wood frame measures 27.4" by 35.4". The frame has some nicks, chips, and scratches. Painting's Size: 17.5" by 26" (sight only)Painting's Condition: Very good overall condition (not examined out of frame) Ultraviolet Light Test: No inpainting. Special Shipping: Yes. Additional Comments: Sometimes, when a seller describes a painting as a "mystery" painting, the only mystery is why the seller ever purchased it or took it in on consignment. This painting is a true mystery! The artist was undoubtedly very talented and most likely had many years of training to utilize their talent. As mentioned above, the painting is illegibly signed, dated "59", and inscribed on the lower right. The signature may read 'Book", "Bork", "Boone", "Booth", or something similar. Since many artists share these surnames, I am still determining who authored it.
