This is a Dynasty M503 Marching Trumpet. When I bought it, I was told it was the large bore version. The model number IS NOT on the horn. This does not have the micro tuning that some M503’s have. This horn plays very nicely. It lights up with a brilliant, powerful sound when pushed, but has a dark sound when played mf or softer. Just the right amount of resistance given this is (probably) a large bore horn. It is perfect for older high school students in marching band, college marching and pep band, for someone auditioning for drum corps, or just to have around if you need a big, loud sound. But if you’re intending to get this for your beginner trumpet player, please look elsewhere. This horn is for a player who knows their way around a serious trumpet.Everything moves, valves are quick and responsive, slides move freely. Plating is 98% with some pavement rash on the bell bow. It could use a good polish.
