I fished this on an 800M deckhand style rod, notice the Shimano cast anodized rod clamp. This reel has seen very little use but having been carried on my private boat so many times, it does have minor scratches and the normal boat rash……as can be seen in the attached photos.Some of the Shimano numbering and lettering seems to have partially disappeared, the 400S looks more like 40CSEverything still works great
