This is a 2002 Casimiro Lozano Rio 1a Classical guitar, spruce top and rosewood sides/back, ebony fretboard, 52 mm nut width, 650 mm string length. Bought this new in 2002, played for many years. In 2018 had local luthier redo french polish along with successful removal of a few scratches; nut/saddle adjustment for improved intonation and action; and added small gold fretmarkers on side of fretboard.Hence this is a player's guitar, not a collectors. Still has beautiful look, wonderful spruce tone, huge volume and great intonation. Action at 12th fret is 5mm on low E string and 4mm on high E string. There is still room for lowering saddle if playing style and personal taste warrants. Not perfect condition due to age and use, but very good, with a small ding below the bridge at 3rd string and a couple small dings on headstock and sides. Tried to show on pictures. Back difficult to show clearly due to rich dark color and reflections. Tuners excellent, very smooth. No string buzzing unless very hard play.I still love the sound. Am reluctantly selling as I hardly play nowadays, and when I do it is mainly with a classical crossover Ramirez with a narrower neck. Pain with my aging hands makes a standard classical neck difficult for me now. Admittedly, tone and playability are very subjective and taste varies greatly among different people. What one person thinks ideal is poor in the judgement of another. Having said that, I have played many guitars in my time and find this to be pretty unique in its beautiful haunting smooth tone (particularly the G string, I think it is fabulous) with spruce clarity. If you look at comparable Casimiro Lozano guitars currently for sale on ebay, you will notice they are more in the range of 5-6k. I am selling this considerably less because it has had a couple of modifications as I mentioned above, and I know for some people this would change its intrinsic value. But as I said earlier, this is a player's guitar - I believe the nut and saddle compensation adjustments considerably improve its intonation with regard to the inherent imperfections of tempered tuning of a fretted instrument.
