Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1955 “Taliesin Ensemble” Collection for Heritage – Henredon / Collector Guide / MassModern Gallery / Updated This sale is for a copy of the Seventh Edition of our Collector Guide to Frank Lloyd Wright’s 1955 “Taliesin Ensemble,” which included furniture from Heritage– Henredon, fabrics from F. Schumacher, accessories from Minic, as well as other manufacturers. Approximately 120 total pages, including a well researched 35 page opening essay (26 footnotes). This sale is for a PDF copy.Following our essay, there are then a half dozen additional sections. These following sections are not linked together in a master treatise, but rather include some of the following topics and materials: ….. reprint of November 1955 House Beautiful article; ….. page by page facsimile reproduction of Heritage-Henredon sales brochure, which near fully documents the collection; ….. Antique Week article and Q & A; ….. dozens of contemporaneous newspaper reviews and advertisementsIn all, there are more than 130 total illustrations. Please don’t expect a Rizzoli or Taschen coffee table book - but expect an extensive cache of material relevant to the collection (although Taschen used my photos; with permission).I’ve studied the Taliesin Ensemble extensively over the past two decades, and the MassModern Gallery has handled many pieces.
