Overview: Up for sale is a lovely autumn forest landscape by listed American pastel artist, William Henry Chandler (1854-1928). Chandler is perhaps the most famous pastel artist in American history and his rustic scenes are iconic. This piece depicts a forest at sunset in autumn. It is signed "Chandler" at lower right, and the signature matches that of his listed works. Chandler has a plethora of high auction records. Painting is framed in a simple period wood frame under glass. Condition: Painting appears to be in very good antique condition. Frame and glass are in good condition.Measurements: Painting measures approximately 12 inches high x 9 inches wide. Frame measures approximately 13.25 inches high x 10.25 wide. Shipping: I typically ship using the least expensive available service (UPS, Fed Ex or USPS).
