Beautiful Kurtzmann piano from about 1918 (serial number: 65474) - bought for $1000 from private party 18 months ago - interior totally reconditioned 15 months ago for $2460: + hammers reshaped + keys rebushed + bridle straps replaced + keyframe cleaned, keypins and capstans polished, capstan cloth brushed + front rail punchings replaced + action regulated + piano tuned + ivory keys cleaned - last tuning 7 months ago - fantastic sound because of large dimensions: 27Dx64Wx54H - as seen on pictures, the inside looks as new, while there is some damage to the wooden frame on the outside on the bottom right. Unfortunately I am forced to move into a new place that does not allow me to keep the piano. I would have loved to have it refurbished from the outside and then look like new inside and out because it is very hard nowadays to find upright pianos that give you excellent sound. I hope that someone with a passion for pianos can take it over and care for it... Price is negotiable... Matching bench available as well...
