The guitar in the photos was purchased from Juliet Constantine who was a relative of the recently deceased music professor whom i assume to be her father or grandfather. His home was filled with musical papers and instruments and this prized guitar was among his possessions. He was confirmed to be a former professor of music as well as a student of andres segovia himself. I did not get his first name and will be returning to the house to look through the musical papers that will be taken out of storage as it is possible there is some of segovias handwriting as well. If So i will include it with the guitar as well as the first name of the professor which i did not get while I was there.It is very loud and will amplify your mistakes if not played well. There is the tan line on the surface where the tapping plates used to be as well as what appears to be a repair on the surface closest to the highest E string that is smooth to the touch and expertly done. There appears to also be some stress fractures below the bridge. Additional stress fractures can be found on the back near the side of the thickest E string. There is a small fracture on the edge and another parallel that runs from end to end. The third fracture has not gone from one end to the other. I believe on the opposing side on the back there can be another minor one but it can almost not be felt at all and is almost invisible. Other than this there does not appear to be any issues with the guitar at all. The stress fractures do not appear to be serious and the surface of the guitar is smooth to the touch.I played a few songs and know on it and it sounds great. I hope it will go to a good home. Consider this historical piece as part of your collection.
