The included aftermarket remote and manual make it easy to use and control. The sleek black color and compact design make it a perfect addition to any home audio system.The option to either use the tube buffer or not or use it as a transport is unusual. This unit seems to function, it did when I packed it away, but there are occasional squeals when the carousel is sliding in and out (probably just needs oil and/or serviced). It does aerate and the carousel using disc skip or when playing. It reds which tray the discs are in. There is a volume control so you can just plug this straight in to an amplifier with no need for a pre-amp. The sound was/is glorious and very controlled but I have essentially gone all vinyl (I have 10,000 so I really don't need a cd player and I have a Cambridge player for my DVD that will play a cd if I want it). And I have also gone from all separates to an integrated amp with a tiny Pro-Ject tuner that works just fine in my area to listen to NPR. Since it is a vintage piece of equipment, I am selling it as parts/repair only but I am pretty sure it will operate for you. The changer can play the cd's in order or you can choose random.Ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them. I do not have the original box but it will be well packed and padded. That is incorrect. This unit was made around 1995-1997 and the SD card was not invented until 1999
