Antique Lyon and Healy Snare Drum ~~Wood construction~~ All original - This drum measures 15" across. It's missing the resonant head on the bottom. There are two tags on the inside. One says Shattuck Musical Specialties and the other saysEst 1864 Factories: Healy Station Warerooms; Wabash Ave at Jackson CHICAGO. There are people's names written on the underside of the top batter head and also there is writing on the top of the batter heard on the outside. Don't know how old this drum is and what else may be missing as I am not an expert at drums. I tried to take pictures at every angle. It is a little dusty. I cleaned it as best as I could delicately so as to not damage anything. I think based on when the company was established that this item is at least 100 years or older. It is a nice antique item for display. You don't come across these very often. Item is relisted because high bidder never paid.
