This tubing fits both brands.Field Tested Thousands of Times, this is the best tubing money can buy for your treestand chain or cable application. We specialize in Heat Shrink Tubing and have tested all tubing made. You punch the holes where you want them after shrinking. We used to sell API with pre-punched holes years ago but experience has taught us it is foolish, especially when the holes are pre-punched every inch which only weakens the tubing unnecessarily, plus it is a pain to align the holes while shrinking. You don't want holes punched every single inch, Summit stands with cable in lieu of chain have lugs every 4" and they work great so why would anyone need or want a hole punched every inch for API, only to weaken tubing? We have field tested both brands of stands hundreds of times for many years so we know first hand what you need. (2) API or Summit replacement shrink tubing chain or cable covers for 95% of ALL API self-climbing treestands and all of Summit self climbers. For API Punch the holes with a Phillips screwdriver or awl where you want them after shrunk onto chain or grind pins to a point and punch holes only when needed in the field. Pre-punched holes are a pain to align while heating and create unnecessary weak areas in the tubing, for API you only have to punch holes every three or 4 inches after shrinking. This black shrink tubing is flexible, durable and excellent quality; equal to or better than original tubing. All you need to do is to pull the chain or cable into the shrink tubing with wire or string, apply heat, and you’re done. The best way to heat it is with a heat gun but you can use a propane torch or other means. This shrink tubing will fit all API and Summit stands including models with #2040 chain. This number 2040 may be stamped on the side of links. You will receive easy step by step instructions for both brands.
