2006Taylor T5 C2 Koa Guitar-Oneof the most versatile guitars - Ever!The Taylor T5 C2Koa, (now discontinued), was introduced in 2005 to meet the needs of touringmusicians who wanted one instrument that covered all the bases. Built tosimulate the tones and responses of solid body, semi-hollow and fully acousticmodels, the T5 line succeeded in its aims while also looking great on any kindof stage. The craftsmanship is immaculate and Bob Taylor really outdid himselfon this one! This is one of the best playing and best sounding instruments I'veever had my hands on! And I've had Gibsons, Fenders, Guilds, Gretschs, Martins,Hofners, etc. This is a truly professional grade instrument!This Taylor T5 C2Koa is from 2006.. It has sapele back and sides, with a nicely figured HawaiianKoa top. The neck is also Sapele, with a bound Ebony fingerboard sporting the‘Spires’ inlay pattern. Ebony is also used for the peghead overlay and thebridge. For hardware, the headstock has sealed Taylor gold plated tuners, andTaylor’s three pickup system with a body transducer, bridge humbucker with a‘lipstick’ style visible element, and a hidden neck humbucker. Controls are onthe upper bass bout and on the upper base side. I did add ebony bridge pinswith abalone dots, much better than the white composite...This baby is inexcellent condition and was only played minimally in a smoke free studio, noroad work! It comes with its original hard shell case, which is a work of artin its own right! I had Randy Parson's set this up and officially add the BuzzFeiten Tuning System (nut & complete set up). Randy has built guitars forJack White and Jimmy Page, to name a few. He commented that the T5 was"like playing a grand piano, amazing to play and to listen to"!
