For sale, we have a 4 piece authentic Bach Stradivarius trumpet stop rod nut set. Included is a pair of two nuts, as well as two rubber o-ring bumpers.Of course, the purpose of one o-ring bumper is to lessen or eliminate the click noise that is produced when the slide is extended all the way. Why 2 bumpers, you may ask... Well, the reason that you're looking to purchase nuts is more than likely the fact that one or both of your nuts fell off and were lost. By placing a second rubber o-ring towards the tip of the rod, the chances of the nuts falling off is minimal.These nuts are silver in color, but are actually nickel plated. For the purist, silver plated nuts are available, but at a higher cost than these and we are not listing those for sale right now. We generally use these nickel plated nuts on all Strads, both lacquer and silver plated horns. The pictures show these nickel plated nuts on a silver plated trumpet. They blend nicely with the silver plated horn and are much less likely to tarnish and darken, like silver plated nuts tend to do over time.
