Manuel Velazquez was born in Puerto Rico and moved to New York where he established and individually made his guitars . He is well known for his craftsmanship ,attention to detail and near Hauser soundingguitars that make his guitars sought after . This guitar is rare in that he made this sound board from cedar and not spruce .This guitar has a strong projection but a clarity and sweetness to its tone .String height in high E is 9/64 sBass E is 10/64There have been no repairs to this guitar . There are no cracks or scratches but there are occasional dings .The body is made of Brazilian Rosewood . The neck is mahogany and fretboard is ebony . I believe the tuners are German made but I am not certain. His guitars were played by Sabicas , Rey de La Torre ,Pepe Romero , Paul Simon and Chet Atkins . Included is a beautiful blue Eastman case .I will only ship two day by FEDEX as I wouldn’t want this guitar sitting in a warehouse for a week . I’ll pay the difference.
