This is a fantastic wooden industrial styled swivel chair. Sikes of Buffalo was another upper state NY office furniture manufacturer from the turn of the century that made ultra-high quality office chairs. This is a real statement piece that will look gorgeous at your desk, or just sitting out. It is made out of walnut, steel, and iron and weighs almost 35 lbs. And that's why this chair still looks as good as it does and is as structurally sound as it is.The chair is structurally very sound and I believe everything is original, including the casters. I've looked to see if the holes have been replaced, but I didn't see anything that would have indicated anything other than the casters are in fact original. Also, the casters are metal, not plastic.These Sikes chairs don't come up too often, and when they do, they go fast. When they say they don't make them like they used to, you'll understand exactly what that means when you see this chair.
