Vintage to Antique Painted Chest of Drawers American Boston Nautical Naval MotifPlease keep in mind that this piece is at least vintage in age. Being vintage, it has some age wear that comes with time. Specifically, there are some nicks here and there. Also, there are two particular things that we have noticed. First, on the front where the cannons are, there is a scrape (please see photo 3). Second, on the top left side it appears a small strip has come up (please see photo 5). Otherwise, the drawers open smoothly, it is sturdy, and it appears to be in overall in at least very good condition for its age. (Please see photos for condition.)We cannot find a whole lot on this piece. However, we have gathered that it is at least mid century vintage. It may be antique, but we believe it to likely be vintage. We have found other similar painted chests, but none with this particular American, Boston, naval, nautical theme. So, we believe this piece to be a very rare find. The top has a beautiful ship painted on and it is generally adorned with patriotic American imagery. It definitely invokes a nostalgic sense of American history.
