You always wanted to own a King 2-B. But they are either $2000 or totally junk. This is something in between those two extremes. You could play this just like it is or use it as a base for a restoration project.Here are the details:King 2-B Liberty tenor trombone serial #386096 built in the early 1960's at King's Eastlake, Ohio plant.This horn has been professionally cleaned and servicedThere are no missing partsAbout 80% of the original lacquer is intactBELL SECTIONMain tuning slide has been lubricated and moves freelyAll minor dents have been removed There are lacquer scratches on the bell from problems with the original case (see pictures #5 and #6)SLIDE SECTIONHand slide action is perfectTubes were professionally alignedThere is no missing plating on the inner slide tubesThe water-key cork and plastic bumper on the crook were replacedCome with King 11M mouthpiece with all silver plating intactCASEThe original case was junk and it was replaced with a genuine, high quality King wood trombone caseAll hardware on the inside and outside is intact and working perfectlyThe case interior is in good shape with no holes in the fabric or missing paddingThe black leather trim on the outside is scuffed.
