For sale here is a scarce, 1997, high end Kenwood DP 7090 CD player. This is one of the last great XX90 family of Kenwood players which features 8 times of the Burr Brown PCM 1702 chip! The PCM 1702 is considered by many to be the best chip ever made. This CD player is one of the best sounding CD players in my collection. It kicks ass! It out performs many of the CD players out there that cost 10 times as much. It is in excellent condition as seen in the pictures. A very hard to find collectible CD player for the audio equipment collector! The unit has been cleaned. Everything works perfectly. The unit has expensive, custom made, gorgeous, Black Limba wood "side burns." These are attached with wood tape and magnets and are fully removable if one prefers the original appearance. Hence pictures are attached with and without the side burn wood panels. It includes a Kenwood RC-P3010 remote with batteries, a copy of the service manual, and numerous internet article featuring this player. It is equipped with a 32 fs Fine D. R. I. V. E. system that combines the D. R. I. V. E. system with a 32 fs 22 bit high resolution digital filter. It has a resolution equivalent to 22 bits at a sampling frequency of 1.4 MHz, and succeeds in generating digital data closer to the original analog waveform, achieving a high SN ratio of 120 dB. Its structure suppresses disk resonance and is the result of a sound pressure shielding enclosure. The mechanism is covered with an aluminum case. Its internal multi-layer structure suppresses vibration and reduces unnecessary servo current. It contains coaxial and optical digital output jacks. Also, gold plated terminals are used for the terminals. It is equipped with editing functions such as CD peak search which can set recording level with less distortion, edit function and auto space. You can adjust the output level and headphone output level. It is equipped with an emphasis indicator. The case interior is frankly enormous and has plenty of room inside for mods (Lampizator enjoyed modding this model in the past though it certainly does not need it).
