Receiver works perfect in direct mode. Both channels are equal and sound great. It’s a powerhouse,putting out 125 Watts @8ohms, but if you are here, you already know that. I think this can go head to head with my VSXD1S.The reason I am listing it for parts or repair is there is an issue with jazz, hall, dance, and theater selections in the surround mode. It’s a great receiver for two channel listening the way it is. when you make the selections in surround mode, it sounds like a station is not tuned. After doing some research, I found out that this is a very common problem with this receiver so if you’re looking for a two channel system, it will do just that with authority.. it is very heavy, so shipping will be steep. please make sure you understand that this is a parts or repair unit even though it works perfect in direct mode. This is a non-returnable purchase do not Bid if you are not sure about this. it will be packaged right for safe arrival.
