1850 Signed Antique Pastel Drawing Antoine Coutel 1814-1886

A lovely 1850 pastel by Coutel in the style of Ingres. This museum quality work has been remounted with museum glass and acid-free archival materials. The original frame has been hand-repaired and repainted with Farrow & Ball. The quality of work is phenomenal and after being enjoyed in a Loire chateau for over a century, has been brought to the US, restored and is ready to hang. It’s condition is excellent, though there are signs of it’s age which you can see in the photographs.
