I have a rather interesting item here that should if nothing else prove interesting for vintage paper collectors everywhere. It is a 13x10 stone ground lithograph from 1907. Produced by the Gray Litho Company of New York. Absolute mint condition and has been cello wrapped to maintain its condition. So what I hear you asking well the artist is a lady called Maud Humphrey (1865-1940) who was a very famous illustrator of children?s books in the Victorian era. Well she married a guy called Bogart and had a son who they named Humphrey Bogart (1899-1957). The child portrayed in this work is Humphrey Bogart who was the inspiration for a lot of his mother?s art. If you do not believe me do the research on the internet it?s all out there. This lithograph is dated 1907 and is 100% original. You will never find another in this condition. I would like to sell locally and for cash only, but will ship if buyer pays all costs. If I cannot sell in a reasonable amount I time I will run it through an auction. If you have any questions just drop me a line. To be honest I do not know exactly how much its worth but do have some good input from art dealers in California. If you want to make an offer please feel free, but lowballers will be ignored. The old picture is of Maud Humphrey Bogart with son.
