Selling 2 sculpted wooden figures, along with a typed letter that provides a bit of the tale and hints at their age. One represents Shou Xing, the God of Longevity, one of the Three Stars, holding his Staff and Peach (or Gourd, depending). Carved on a base, it stands about 51/2" tall. The other is an honorable looking figure that stands about 41/4" tall, and likely stands for Fu Xing, another Star, who stands for Good Fortune. The old letter mentions to the recipient that these are made of teak, which they were acquired in China in 1924. $225 for everything. (No Texts - 329-XXXX).
