Original Painting - Percy Tsisete Sandy Kai-Sa. This small painting (6''H x 11''W) is slightly warped and shows some wear. It is on artist paper. Kai-Sa (Red Moon 1918-1974) was born at Zuni Pueblo, later living in Taos. His goal as an artist became ''depicting authentically the customs of my people. This, I hope, will be my small contribution to a great race,'' he said in 1940 (Snodgrass American Indian Painters). In 1959, he was severely injured in an automobile accident and was basically unable to paint from then on. He died on May 15, 1974.Listing originally posted at http
