By utilizing bubinga wood for the inner layers of a birch shell, TAMA has produced a mix that offers a brand-new sound with a sweeter and deeper tone. This combination exhibits the concentrated attack of birch along with the enhanced lows of bubinga. Star-Cast Mounting System.The Star-Cast Mounting System on this Tama drum shell pack offers optimal resonance and stability for Tama's drums. A streamlined design makes it much easier to place toms closer together for higher ease and convenience. Aluminum supplies lighter weight and even truer tonal vibration. Sliding tom holder.The Tama Starclassic Performer's tom-holder expands setting versatility with a sliding connector device that moves back and forth as much as 2". Merely loosening one bolt allows you to adjust the distance of the toms. Die-cast hoops.Hoops not just impact drum tuning, they also impact drum noise. For the Starclassic Series, Tama chose zinc die-cast hoops, which are made by injecting molten metal into molds. Die-cast hoops have even more density and are more consistent in shape than triple-flanged hoops, which are manufactured by flexing metal plates. Because the tension-bolts always contact the hoop properly, die-cast hoops make tuning more consistent and easier to attain. Drums fitted with die-cast hoops also provide crisper attack, clear and resonant highs, and much more powerful rim shots. Claw hooks.Tama Starclassic Performer's claw hooks feature rubber spacers that assist safeguard wood hoops from damage. The hooks and hoops work as one device and won't rattle or separate, even on loose tunings. Kick drum stimulate bracket.Tama's MSB30 die-cast bracket holds the stimulate bracket firmly, thanks to the same powerful hinge mechanism utilized on the MTB30 mounting bracket. Unique memory markers discovered on the folding stimulate bracket aid to streamline established.
