A lovely Antique 19th Century Original Hendricus Jacobus Burgers Oil on Canvas Painting, Outdoor Landscape Scene, Venice Canals with Gondolas and People, Campanile Bell Tower in Background Titled Venice. Excellent Condition, 3 old very small canvas repairs with touch up to the paint, crazing throughout the paint, painting could use a cleaning, slight wear to original gold gilded painted wood frame. You can reference the pictures we guarantee 100% you will be more than happy with the painting. Measuring 32"x24 1/4"x1/12" at the outer frame, showing stretched and tacked canvas 21 3/4"x17" weighing 8lb 4oz artist signed at the lower left corner in oil Burgers Venezia, original brass tag titled Burgers Venice. Wonderful depiction of an Italian Scene, Venice canal with buildings and a bridge with people, people in gondolas at the side and before bridge, lovely background of sun clouds and sky with The Santa Maria Formosa Campanile Bell Tower. Hendricus Jacobus Burgers, Dutch, (1834-1899), listed artist, well known for his depictions of life in Venice. A wonderful addition to anyone's collection or home. Any questions please email.
