Here's what I know about this violin: The label inside is intact and reads, "COPY OF Antonius Stradivarious, Reicher's Violin Shoppe, WM. H. REICHER Mgr." A search of the Internet had one result, contained in the January 24, 1925 edition of Presto, The American Music Trade Weekly, which mentions the shop as having recently opened in the Walsh Building in Akron, Ohio. The violin's top has at least one, perhaps two, cracks that appear to have been repaired. The sound post is, I think, loose inside the instrument. As nearly as I could measure, it has a total length of 23-7/8". The case is adequate; the bow is marked "LINDELL" and "JAPAN". Please examine the photos carefully, and feel free to write if you have questions. Buyer pays actual shipping costs.
